What a Health Coach does not do...
• Diagnose or treat illness
• Prescribe medication or alter the prescription of a registered practitioner
• Replace a medical practitioner, psychologist or therapist
LIABILITY AND LEGAL CLAUSES
- The coach is not a licensed psychologist, or registered dietitian, and does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe for any medical or mental health condition. The coaching program is educational and supportive in nature and intended for general wellness.
- By participating in the program, the client acknowledges that they are voluntarily engaging in a personal development and lifestyle program and assumes full responsibility for any decisions or actions taken as a result of coaching. The client understands that results are not guaranteed.
- The client agrees to release and hold harmless the coach from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action for personal injury, damages, or loss resulting from participation in the program, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct by the coach.
- The client agrees to consult their healthcare provider prior to beginning the coaching program or making any changes e.g. medication, diet, or exercise routines. The coach does not replace any medical or psychological treatment or recommendations. The coach will never suggest to the client to make any medicinal changes without prior medical practitioner consent.
